We make it a priority to deep clean and sanitise our yoga studio by mopping our floors with pet-friendly floor disinfectant (Zoflora) as well as hoovering, wiping down surfaces with pet-friendly antibacterial sprays and using the necessary equipment to keep the studio spotless for the well-being of our kittens. The cleaning procedure happens upon staff arrival before the first class, in-between classes, at the end of all sessions and a further deep clean by the venueā€™s cleaning staff.

At the end of each day, all our blankets are washed, all our toy sticks are wiped down with antibacterial spray and our baskets are de-haired and sprayed - ready for the next session.

We ask all attendees to take off their shoes before entering the studio to prevent the risk of catching any diseases and parasites.

We spray all the yoga mats with Parvo-Virucide, which is a disinfectant/cleaner to kill any germs proven by The Central Vet Laboratory.

  • Our kittens come from owners and certified breeders who see the benefits of socialisation and want their kittens to overcome separation anxiety before they go to their new homes.

The kittens are aged between 8 - 20 weeks old and come from loving homes where they are cared for until they are ready to go to their new owners.

  • Class numbers vary dependant on the studio acquired but majority of the time we have around 9-13 people in each class.

  • While every litter is different, we aim to have at least a ratio of 1:3 kitten to person in our kitten yoga sessions.

As we have weekly health checks with the kitten owners, changes may occur but we will keep attendees updated as best as possible.

  • We do not directly sell or re-home kittens. Our job is simply to provide an environment where they can socialise.

The majority of the kittens will already have homes to go to after their socialisation period with us; however, if you would like to enquiry about a certain kitten or 2 please contact hello@kitty-yoga.co.uk and we can direct you to the right contact.

  • We allow attendees from 8+ years old.

A maximum of two under 18+ year olds can attend, as long as they are courteous in the class and have to be accompanied by one adult (21+); who needs to be present in the class for health and safety reasons.

Any children who do not respect the ambience of a calming yoga session and therefore are not well-behaved, unfortunately, will be asked to leave.

Each attendee will need their own ticket.

We usually invite one breed type for a period of 4-5 weeks whilst they develop and are in their prime of their socialising stage. New breeds come to our classes every 4-5 weeks.

CLASS RULES

  • At the beginning of each class, we allow 10-15 minutes for the kittens to freely roam the room to explore new smells and new people that have entered the class before our team encourage attendees to pet them.

  • We kindly ask you to place one hand under their front arms and the other hand underneath their bottom as this is the correct and most safest way to support a kitten comfortably.

  • You are allowed to gently pick up a kitten if held in the correct way as stated above, however, if the kitten does not settle, please gently place them on the ground and do not attempt to pick them up again immediately as they have made it clear they do not want to be picked up again.

  • Please do not pick up a sleeping kitten as this changes their form and therefore disturbs their sleep. However, we do allow gentle strokes.

  • Our team are at hand to allow all attendees to have the chance to pet and/or hold a kitten in the safest way with safety observation and help.

  • We cannot guarantee that all kittens will act the way you may expect them to so please allow patience and enjoy your session as much as you can
